17's on a first gen?

I might be getting a set of 17 aluminum racing rims for 60 buck and i was wondering if they would fit on my 1st gen.

the front's are low profile(1 inch maybe) and the backs are beefy(3-4-5 inches maybe)

*unless they are 4x110 bolt pattern or you have a GSL-SE that has 4x114.5 bolt pattern.

Gregs man you gotta stop being an ***... I understand that people should use the search function but have you ever thought that maybe this guy is new to the whole forum thing. I mean with 35 posts he is sure as hell not a vet in this forum.

This is part of the reason I don't like to frequent this forum. BTW about the A-pillar gauge pods why the f%$* don't you do a god damn search and find for yourself that Cag8or was the one who initiated the whole thing. Oh and when many people who said they were interested backed out leaving him to buy the rest to get the damn things made...

Oh look at that I answered your question reguarding the gauge pods already, they are available from Cag for $60 + shipping.

God your an irritating **** man... stop being so lazy and use the search function because he posted on here as well.

RotaDrift sorry to hijack you thread but this whole bad attitide towards new people on the forum really pisses me off, though I don't have an answer to your question.

Sure, as long as the rims are the right bolt pattern then the fronts will fit. As for the rears probably won't fit. I have 205/60 rear tires on my car (on stock 13" rim) and they rub on the fenders. Now, if they just happen to be just the right backspacing and offset (most likely not), then they might work, but otherwise the rears just won't work.

Offset,offset,offset.
If you can get around the lug pattern problems, then offset is your only real concern. And obviously 8-9 inch wide wheels arent likely to fit under the stock fenders unless you have a lot of offset. Before the widebody,I actually fit 8" wide wheels in back easily because they had a lot of offset. They were only 1/2" from the inner wall of the fenderwell, but they fit and didnt rub the fender lip.Basically.....no deepdish!

My old centerlnes were 15X7" with 205/50-15 tires. They fit perfectly and didnt rub until I swapped in the SE rearend which has wider rotor hats. Then I had to roll the rear fenders a little. They were about 12MM offset.

not sure J, you need to know the offset number, you cant tell by just looking at the pic
i believe the correct offset for the gsl-se is like 35mm or 38mm

Gregs,

First and formost you have got to get off the "search Noob" response... I have no problems helping someone even you. I don't mean to come off like a ***** but you have got to relax.

I'm sure you recall when the response to you was search noob and I know for a fact that was not long ago. You and your type are not very welcoming to the few new people who see the value of our toys. This is not an exclusive group so get the hell off your high horse and share the wealth (knowledge) that you have.

And don't use the excuse "you cannot help those who don't wish to help themselves"...

Have a wonderful day happy boy...
