I only ask because the area where it should be has been nearly destroyed by weather since the car sat for 20 years of its life....so i cant read it

 

I do not know what year SA you have. This info comes from a site called PaintScratch.com, sellers of touch-up kits and paint packages that match original factory colors. All I've done is compiled the paint codes for each year - it's up to you to check your car and see what matches. I HAVE INCLUDED 1980 - 1985

You can find your color by simply opening up your driver door and, on the info sticker on the door jamb, looking for a two-digit paint code. I think it may also be under the hood against the firewall. If all else fails, how about decifering the VIN?

no that did not help me because as i said up top i cant read where the color code is supposed to be however its my bad for not telling you which year of sa i have
which is a 1980(which as you can see ive deleted all the other years except the 1980 and 1979)

 

My car is an 80, seen below; it's a code K8 "Tornado Silver," & was repainted according to that color code a few days before this pic was taken. Didn't even have the trim back on yet.

The original color (door interior and stuff) show that the original was a bit darker than the repaint. But only a bit.



At SevenStock 7, I was parked next to another K8, and you couldn't see any real difference in color.

I'd say there's a good chance yours is a K8, also.

what part of ohio are you from? if the car is a 79, the paint code will be on a sticker on the underside of the hood. if it an 80, it will be stamped to the vin plate screwed to the right side of the firewall. the color does look like tornado silver (K8). i like the fact that you've got an SE rear end. good score on that my friend!
