Went to the track....

Well, I went to the track today for the first time ever, I think I did alright but I know it can go faster. Every race I left the line a little too conservatively, resulting in poor 60fts considering I have Nitto drag radials.

Best run.

R/T : 1.005
60ft: 2.294
1/8: 9.376
1/8MPH: 77.641
1/4 : 14.283
1/4MPH : 100.739

The MPH "should" have been good for a 13 second pass but there's always next time.

For those who don't know I have a Ford 302 in my 85 GSL.

Took my boinger 1st gen to the track today also. But it has a ford 2.3turbo motor in it
Was only able to make it to a local 1/8th mile track (didn't have the cash to head out of town to hit the 1/4 mile), but on street rubber my best run was 8.18 @ 90mph in the 1/8th.

My 69 camaro would do 12.44 in a 1/4 123 mph
seems like a waste of an rx to put a 302 in it. I would be ashamed of those numbers. I'm not raggin on ya!
But that 302 should of hit high 12's with that weight
to pull.

Well I must say, if you 69 camaro went 123mph in the 1/4 (actual drag strip, no g-tech crap) then your motor was far from stock or you camaro weighed 1200# But still that is a good MPH, but the real shame and waste was running 123mph in the 1/4 and only running mid 12's. You should of been in the really really low 11's if not knock on 10's door.
Heck I went 11's with only 113mph.
