Well crap...

I killed my almost brand new fuel pump. Only about a months worth of driving and it's dead. For some reason when the blinkers are on the fuel pump would be affected by it. And I used the stock fuel pump wiring too. I'm gonna have to get a new fuel pump and I think I'll make my own fuel pump relay so it will have a reliable source of power. Now what I need to know is are the Holley Red pumps any good? Are they better than a Carter P4070? I really don't wanna shell out over $150 for a Mallory. I can get a new Carter P4070 form Summit Racing for around $65 with shipping and that's about $20 less than any of the stores around here. Only thing is... how long will it take to get here. I have to be running by May 28th. What do you guys think?

Summit is pretty fast in shipping, from my past experience with them. You'll have the pump in a few days after you pay. Remember, get a FPR and gauge also.

I'd go with a Comp 70. It's under $130, about $138 with shipping. Though I guess I'm more concerned with eliminating as many annoying noises in my car as possible (there are many) than the extra 60 bucks.

I ahve an FPR and guage. The Comp 70 is only 4 PSI which is less than I am using. I'm going to need around 7 just to make sure I always have enough. The Mallory MAA-4110 is looking good. I get paid tomorrow so it shouldn't hurt too much.

I went with the Weber/Redline pump. Fits in the stock location.

I've got a Holley Blue and it sucks. Loud as hell and has varying FP even with a regulator. I think I got a junk one. I'm going to be getting the Carter in Summit that you mentioned when my Sterling arrives, which should be here in a week or two.

I have the holley blue to man that pump sucks the only way I can keep the fuel pressure somewhat stable is to wire it up on it's own circut. Oh and talk about noisy danm is all I can say.

I got a Carter P4070 again. I figure it wasn't the pumps fault it went out. It was the wiring's fault. I got a relay from work and wired it in today. Now the pump will come on when the key is in the on and start positions so I'll have to remember not to leave it in the on position when it's not running. I decided it was about time for some fun time since my whole day has been devoted to the car so far. I just got tired of it. All I have left is to jack the car up and swap out the pumps. It's the same pump so the swap sould be easy. I'll probably get to swapping them out Sunday afternoon.

Git r dun, man! I seem to be the only person in the Tulsa area using a first gen as a daily driver, and I need someone that can take a few of the "Looky loo's" off my shoulders. LOL
Seems I can't go anywhere, without someone trying to buy the car.

I don't know where you're driving. Nobody even cares about my car. I don't get any looks.
