Hey guys.. i was wondering

if i take out my exhaust heat shields.. all the sound deadening tar but keep insulation and carpet.....get a plastic fuel cell and ditch my gastank

how much weight will my car lose?

its an 81 base automatic.. soon to be 5-speed

Well, I'd say the significant loss will come from the sound deadening (I've heard 40 lbs if you get it all). The heat shields are maybe 1 or 2 and the tank swap depends on a lot, but will probably grap you about 5-10 (I don't know exactly what the stocker weighs, but it can't be that heavy).
