Web Page

Sorry guys and gals, it is not a RX question. Since a lot of you are fairly skilled with the computer, which program would best help me (a limited computer user) build a web page.
Thanx

Frontpage is popular and easy to use,
I like Macromedia Dreamweaver but it's more complicated.

Neither one is cheap =)

Check out www.download.com
They might have something for free...

Questions like this should probably go in the Lounge....

Must just be trying to get his post count up. Check Kazaa for webpage creators, and get a cracked key, you'll be set.

hey hey, I don't encourage piracy =)

Just get linux and then it's legal even!

Besides, windows sucks!
My laptop shutdown by itself today 'cause someone remotely told it to shutdown!
Time to wipe my last copy of winblows....

Edit:
Besides, don't use kazaa! It's being watched like you can't imagine!
Use a gnutella client... it's safer =)

coolpage is for total noobs, use it and be amazed at its cheesy easy-ness

when you get more advanced you can play with better software or you can just jack a page like I did for the last page, look and the forum, now look at my old club page

sevensportcc

pretty obvious how it was done since the forum is in phpbb and my page is html and java

Just down load Netscape Communicator and use Netscape Composer. That way it is totally on the up and up

GNUTella is a pritty safe bet, that is waht all the Mac users and Linux users have to use so the liklyhood of the fiels being good is much greater then Kazza

Yup

Becides who do you want developing your software?

PhD.'s that are doing because they love to or some kid just out of school barly making enough money to survive on what the overgreedy software company is paying him (M$).

Any way just my $0.02 on free software vs pripritary software.

FRONTPAGE!!?!?!?!??!

dude, please, for the love of God don't use Frontpage

Adobe GoLive can be had for $149, I think (less for an academic license). Beyond that - there are many FREE programs that embarrass FrontPage's feature set. Don't get me started on Frontpage... Must... kill... MS... Coders...

Yeah - I use BBEdit (Mac Text Editor with nice batch actions) and GoLive for parts that I'm too lazy to code

pico is sweet =)
and 7addict, it's probably not *that* bad of an idea to use notepad... HTML isn't really that complicated and there's a lot of websites out there about how to do it.

hehe

gvim is the way to go!
All the power and none of the memorization...

emacs has been best described as being "A nice operating system, but [needing] a good editor..."

7addict.... What have you decided to use as your editor? =)
