wayyyy off topic...

well if anybody is mechanically inclined in alot of cars i need some info on my friends car. its a 93 eclipse sohc. he wants me to look at it so i did. i drove it and it doesnt want to idle, has shitty, and i mean shitty power. he said a local mechanic said it was the fuel injectors. i popped the hood and saw that it hadnt had a tune up in so long. the wires were dirty as hell, and i took out the spark plugs and they were pure black. i scratched out some of the dirt and put them in. the car fired right up but still doesnt want to idle. and has no power. its getting fuel, what else could it be besides the wires and plugs? hes getting new ones tomorrow but if he needs new parts let me know. and it has a new fuel filter on it.

If it runs like **** under all but WOT, it's the O2 sensor. At WOT, the O2's ignored. I'd check plugs, wires, air filter and fuel filter (middle of the firewall, about 1 ft down from the bottom of the hood).

fuel filter is brand new, god i hope its plugs and wires, no the car is slow and has like a rattle to it all the time... could it be anything else, i was thinking, if the injectors were bad then he would get no fuel at all right? liek an injector doesnt "sometimes work" or does it? it either good or bad right?

Injectors can clog or the connections can be intermittent. Unplug each one, hit them with some contact cleaner or something, and reconnect them all.
