warpage

i have my 12A dissassembled and I am going to be rebuilding, streetporting, and turboing it. it was overheated more than once before i took it apart so i need to make sure it is still good to use. i will most likely be replacing the rotor housings regardless because of some flaking of the surface coating, but what about the side housings and other parts - how do i check them for warpage?

Look in the shop manual. You use a straight edge (like a machinists scale) and a feeler gauge.

it is somewhat difficult to jack up the cast plates. good choice on replacing the housings though. any flaking of the coating and it could be serious down the road. imagine putting new rings in a non honed or bored block. i smell oil burning and **** for compression, lol.
