Help, My brakes suck!!!

I have a '93, 98k miles. I also have 17" Kosei K2 rims (i believe). I replaced my front rotors 2.5 years ago when I first bought the car because of warpage. I bought front rotors and organic pads all around from the local pepboys (bendix or raybestis) The brakes seem to heat up fast and fade quickly and occassionally I get some vibration after hard stopping due to slight warpage I think. After a while it seems to wear away but the breaks seem to make excessive noise when applied. Will changing the pads improve this. Should I also get better rotors? I am hoping that all that is required is pads. I guess I could try that first and maybe get rotors after that if necessary. I am looking for recomendations on what to do. What type of pads should I use for street and very limited autox use (1-3 times a year). Any other advice is also appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am thinking Hawk HPS, or Ntech silvers, or possibly RP bonez stage 1s.

I have the Hawk HPS and Hawk HP+ pads. HP+ pads are better for track use only (or maybe if the majority of your use is track). They are noisy and dusty, but they really help stop you quick. The HPS are good for street use (low noise, low dust) and maybe a little bit of track. The HPS is probably the best pad for you.

I would start with the pads and move on to the rotors if you are still not happy with the performance.

Are the HP+ pads really that noisy. I don't really mind the dust and some noise is ok, I mainly want to avoid the fade situation thanks again

Definitely change your pads. Consider this...you spend very little on the organic pads, and while cheap is often an OK choice, brakes aren't somewhere you really want to skimp (after all, you gotta stop that beast, right?). I bought some Performance Friction Z-rated pads and had them installed (this was before I started doing all of my own work) and at the same time had steel lines installed (and Motul 600 fluid). The pedal feel was improved by about 500%...no more squishy pedal, no more weak braking. I think the lines did most of it, but when I took my FD to the track, I was impressed at how the braking really didn't fade at all even toward the very end of the day. So, go for the gold on the things you buy because if you can't stop, you'll pay for it in the hospital

I have HPS all around with no fade, noise, or dust. I don't think the HP+ are nessisary for street.

i bought the lines from rx7.com:

http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/3catalog.cgi?cat=1&part=5

No problems so far. I don't know what the ones in the rx7 store are like though...as long as they're DOT approved you should be cool.
