I thought I saw sparks on 0.08? What would cause that.

Also. what exactly does a presilencer do.

 

that wasn't sparks thats just dust flying around, a presilencer quiets it down further more, its like a resonator.

tips cost me next to nothing really because it was all excess stuff that I had laying around. The inside diameter of each pipe is about 7/8" so its adequate enough to pass air through but its still restrictive. the whole thing is mounted via a bolt and a nut(thats welded on the pipe end) to make it easy to put on and take out. I just keep a 14mm wrench in the car at all time.

With the tips in there, the cabin noise is cut down to about 1/3rd of the sound. I took so clips of that too but I don't think that my digital camera did a good gob at recording the actualy noise difference.

 

Sounds good Sam, I think my shell will be happy with the transplant.

Since most of you guys don't go to the midwest section, here's a couple of audio clips of mine. One is at high idle warming up and the neighbor screaming to be quiet, the other is at idle, around 1200 rpm.

You can barely hear the neighbor lady yelling to shut the car off or be quiet. The guys that were taping the exhaust are the ones laughing at her screaming across the street.

 

this just proves 1st gen owners are too cheap, even for tri-pods. Seriously though, the car sounds good, I haven't make my mind up about the silencers, but good idea and execution on the construction of them.

And I thought my "grabber green" and maroon shoes and all else beat, are those basketball shoes?

EDIT: And not trying to be overly sarcastic, but a presilencer quiets the exhaust, pre it exiting your car. Its one of those things where the name describes it, like a refrigerator or blender.

About the shoes those are actually my blue spraco racing shoes ... very confy scored them for a little over 50$ on ebay retail was around 300$ :O
