Vented Hood for SA
MariahMotorsports has the NACA duct available as a hood, or install to your stock hood (either functional or not). It is configured for a non-sidedrafted carb ( the flow is to the stock carb location, not on the driver side like a sidedraft would need.

You can always custom make it from the stock steel hood like mine,or better yet, a lighter fiberglass hood. There are a few places that sell stock replacement fiberglass hoods.I stuck with the steel one for rigidity due to size of my extraction duct.
Our cars are old enough that there isnt the availibility of carbon and custom hoods, like with the Honda crowd.

The vented hood I'm making will fit SA and FB, though the reinforced prop-rod hole is on the FB side only.
We pulled a complete one from the moulds (skin and bracing) last week, but the knucklehead new guy used C-clamps to squeeze them together as the bonding layer set so it warped. Pulling another one next week with a new custom clamp that disperses the load equally (the clamp he was supposed to use!), final finishing, and pics to follow.
Carbon Fibre will be an option in the spring.

There were a few minor changes both inside and out. The taillights are different and so is the front bumper. On the inside, the center console is slightly different. On the '79s the hood prop was on the passenger side, however in '80 the switched it to the driver's side and iirc left it there for the remainder of the 7s. The '79 also had a points style distributor, but that was thrown out in '80 as well. You can search to find out all differences. I hope this helps.
