Question Vacuum spider problem. What's the best solution?

Okay, I did some research on this thing, and now I'm stuck between two answers. Hopefully, someone can tell me which is right.

One of the nipples coming off my vacuum spider broke off inside the vacuum hose leading to my oil injector. I have a 5-port vacuum "T" fitting.

According to this thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=vacuum+spider
I can hook up a "T" fitting and it'll work just fine. This thread was created earlier this year.

However, in this thread, posted several years ago:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...=vacuum+spider
It was stated that the thing has a check valve and I can't use a "T" fitting to reroute the hoses, I need that thing.

So, what's the true answer? I pretty much can't finish the rest of my engine assembly until this matter is fixed.

I ended up repairing that 1-to-4 connector and it looks and installed good as new. I drilled out the broken nipples and jbwelded in replacements from a vaccum connector assortment (and reinforced the remaining nipples too). Also I can tell you 100% that the connector is just a plain splitter and not a check valve ( I cut apart a spare I had). I decided repair over several T's because I didnt like the montrosity that I created with so many T's.

Any one of those things you find at a junk yard is guaranteed to break at least one of those nippples no matter how gentle you are.

Thanks. I got word from another member that it is just as you say it is: just a splitter. I picked up a 5 port fitting from AutoZone so I'm going to see about replacing it all.

Providing I can get to the spider. Damn fuel rail and fuel pulse dampner is in the way.

Thats why I just forked out for a new spider from Mazdatrix.....there is zero room for access under the TII manifold, and non pre-formed lines just wont fit the tight radii needed to snake down to the oil injectors.

Well, the spider is under the fuel pulse dampner, and I can't even remove the damn fuel rail assembly to gain access to the spider. There's that one bolt on the right, just under the fuel line nipple that prevents access to it. And, I don't own one of those weird-angled box wrenches to gain access to it. I'm hoping removing the PD will do the trick.

Heres the trick to it. With a large wrench or channel lock pliers you loosen the fuel damper and remove the clamps that secure the fuel hoses in place. Now pivot the fuel lines up towards you. You now have access to the bolts.
Forgot to add that you detach the fuel hoses from the pipes.

I did detach the fuel hose on the right side. But, when I saw how long that fuel nipple was over the bolt.......yeah, I gave up, cleaned up my area (it was starting to get dark and went inside. Been working on this car for 3 days now. Not how I wanted to spend my 4 days off.

Ah well.
