How hard is it to replace vacuum lines on an 85 GS with a 12A?

easy if you strip it down to just what it needs to run. It''s a bitch if you want to replace all the stock vacuum lines.

The only thing to watch for is that things can be brittle (especially the nipples on the solenoids). So be careful..it might be worth picking up a spare rats nest from someone to replace any of the solenoids that get broken.

Yeah I'm sure that there are a bunch of us with "spare" rats nests around. I threw out three of them because I didn't need them anymore.

rats nest is just what we call all those vacuum lines, solenoids, and all that stuff

If you don't have to pass emissions, yhou can search for "rats nest removal" and you'll be able to really cleanup/simplify things in your engine bay,
