updated pics on my rex and engine...

hi everyone! i was at my storage today and decided to push the rex out and take some pics in the nice sun, im really concerned about my two exhaust ports...the one on the rear rotor is kinda white and the front rotor is kinda black, well here they are, i hope u guys like my rex and my engine, im thinkin about cleaning it and painting it(dont have money yet to buy a rebuild kit). enjoy!

no, i cleaned them with acid because they were nasty and thats how they look now, white and black.

well acid was the wrong thing to use, removed everything, even the clear coat. probably desolved some of the aluminum, depending on the type acid u used.

^^ yeah but if u saw how they looked before u would know y, i shouldve took some pics when i first got it but watever.its not a very strong acid though.

Looking at your exhaust ports, you definitely have a fueling problem. Rear rotor is running too lean. Time to go through the carb.

Yep, that's what my ports looked like when I had a clogged primary jet. Easy fix, so you're lucky this time.

yeah i pulled of my intake and carb obviously, so im gonna rebuild the carb and make it really nice, then clean my intake up too, now i had a problem with my header pipe on the rear rotor turning cherry read, would this be why?

ok now but if it ran really lean it would turn red?? i thought it had to run rich to turn red, anyways, im dumb and uve probably had this happen to u before so,ill keep u guys updated on more pics if i get any.

Lean is mostly the cause for an exahust to be excessively hot. Not sure about running rich though. I'd think it would have to be so rich the enigne would barely run, and therefor not get hot anyway.

pics are kinda small, but the car looks good. the guys have already pointed you in the right direction with why your exhaust ports are so different so i don't have anything else to add to that topic. however, perhaps you should get the wheels polished or powdercoated. i would imagine cleaning them in acid and not having any protective coating can't be good in the long run.

yeah i know, i might get them painted all black, or somthing to match my engine, when its all done, im thinkin about painting my engine housings black and yellow. but im not sure yet, i still have to give the engine a madd good cleaning.

well i cleaned my engine as best as i could and bought yellow and black spray paint. but i started painting the black and when i went to do the yellow i didnt, because the black looked so good, but the paint is 500 degree paint,u guys think thats ok? well here are my pics

use a wire wheel and buff the housings chrome look with black looks sweet...

yeah i was thinkin of that but there are no power outlets at my storage. o well, im still curious to see the black and yellow but i really like the black and gray.

heres my carburetor after a rebuild, and i painted some major parts chrome to give a good look.

ok guys, i removed my tail lights,my hood, my messed up fender my rear bumper ,my front bumper and my front grille. if u guys are aking y, its maily to fix all the rust and my tail lights, i wanna do wat fireslayer666 did, i think it was cool, but i wanna do it a bit different, well some pics are bad but here they are.
