Update: FB 2 FD

the final hours are here. i am pretty much done with the front end

conversion with just final sanding and priming to do. this is pretty much a teaser

pic just to hint at whats coming your way. i will be making replica fenders just in

case somebody wants to do this conversion. just supply your own hood, your

choice of headlights, and front bumper.

j/k! but i am making replica fenders just in case something bad happens.

but yeah, this is really hard work and i wouldn't recommend it if you dont know

what your going to get urself into. especially if your gonna pay someone to do it. i

did this all by myself and i am damn proud of it.

well heres the pic of the little bastard:

The rear of the car is also getting the FD treatment, so it is going to be wide. wider than a stock FD actually cuz of the wide body rear fenders thats gonna go on.

Please post Photos of the FD front Suspension installed. Are you using the FD rear Subframe and stock FD rear axles?

Awesome, but now you have to do the ***-end to match!

I really do like it though, sorta does widebody, but .... less boxy and sexier.

another teaser pic. JUST ONE!! remember though, i havent made the

rear fenders yet so it looks a little off. but anyways here is what i have so far:

oh yeah, how does 18 x 10 inch wheels sound?? that is how wide the rear tires

need to be.

Wow again. That is crazy. So what will you be running? Please don't put huge wheels on it. I don't like them and its a sports car. Really imo, no car should have 18 inch wheels. I think they are horrible when they're big and they actually make it slower

this thing has some major potential. youre doing something no one else has done, that i know of. im just very anxious to see the finished product. i want to see how it all mates together. one question though, why didnt you just buy an FD? haha. lack of funds?

no, not lack of funds. i could buy one right now if i wanted to, but its so much fun creating a car. regardless of all the blood, sweat and tears associated with it. cuz in the end, ITS ALL WORTH IT!!

Okay DAMN that is one sexy car. I cant wait to see finished product. And Im deffinatly with you I would rather recreate 20 cars then just take momy and dadys money and buy something someone else has created.

Edit:

I was looking over the pic and noticed that you went with the aftermarket HID headlights instade of the popup's. I'm not one to judge another mans project, but just curious why you didnt want to keep the stock popup look? Just gut feeling or like the solid light look better?
