well the manifold i have created is working great. the carb has is holding tight with the oversized rubber seal. when we test fitter it on the 12a that i had we ran into one minor detail, the coolant seal decided it didnt wanna hold anymore and flooded the engine. We ran the car at 8 pounds of boost and it held up great, we used a 14b mitsubishi turbo out of a dodge 2.2 turbo engine, wich worked great, the carb was somewhat difficult to tune, we ended up drilling the fuel ports to open it up a little more, also we made a mechanical secondary setup for the nikki, wich is easy. i have found another motor and will be dooing a second testing soon. the biggest benafit i found with this low boost system is that the RPM jumps almost 3 times faster on the engine with all emissions removed.
The next step when we get the new engine is to make a manifold to hold a 60!!!!! trim turbo. the style used on the cummins diesel. we hope to get a bigger boost range from it although it will take longer spool there will be an extream amount of power after about 4000 RPM in addition you could run 15 pounds safely beacuse of the turbo lag in the low range.

Nice work, how about some pictures? or a link to another thread??? Id like to see more.
I dont quite follow how turbo lag but higher boost Is safer though.....?

Oh man dude! Keep us updated on your project test. I am looking forward to do a setup like that once everything is figure out and the bugs have been worked out. For now I keep on driving my stock car because I can not afford a project like that yet.

:HINT:
Lots of FUEL and new gaskets.
Also i had to make a new vacume plate out of some aluminium, also got some really thick gasket material from Advance Auto Parts (with my employee discount of course) and there was some drilling involved but im hopeing to find a way average joe can boost prep it without drilling....
BTW i dont know how to post pictures here but ill add a link one i get them posted on mt other site.
thanks for your support everyone.

so you just sealed the carb, and increased the pressure, im assuming with a boost reference fpr. was the vacuum plate you made, just to replace the plastic one?? and it runs with boost that way?
