Unknown camber plates

Hey I got these a while back and the bearings need to be replaced, and I need new front struts. Might as well do both at the same time. I'm going to get the MR2 ones because I run 300 lb springs in the front. Anyone know for sure who made these. I was told they might be Mazdatrix. Anyway, I need to replace the bearing and I need to know what size to get. Any help would be awesome.

if its an aluminum upper plate, and caster adjustable with a flat bearing like the front stack of the engine, its ground control.

i actually have a set, i could measure the bearing if you want...

or hell we have updated k2rd sliders/bearings that'll work too

Looks like you need another screw for that there gizmo, too.

I kinda like those - no tower carving required.

Ground Control's site says these had lifetime warranty; maybe you can get new bearings for free?

Those look like Ground Control and yes, you need the 4th bolt. You can trim the tower to make room for the bolt head & washer.

hey. I just saw this post while I'm looking for info for my GSL SE motor that doesn't run well.. I am the GC guy, and I probably made those camber/caster plates around 1996 maybe earlier. Thats 15 years ago, but they are still original owner lifetime warranty, against defects, but not against a moving part finally wearing out.

The policy that GC has is for you to send us the camber plate parts, and we inspect them to see if they are defective, and if they are not defective but just worn out, we replace the bearings for the cost of the bearing (no labor).

I will tell you that I bet the bearings are STILL good, but the spacers may be wrong, the strut shaft machined wrong, or just plain dirty needle bearings (underneath, not shown).

Triple check that you actually do have a bearing problem, that is a special expensive Aurora aerospace bearing, and they easily last 100,000 miles or more.

otherwise email me
Jay

hey jay, we have met, but it was probably when you built those plates, you guys were still in rancho!

anyways, pretty cool you're willing to stand behind a 15 year old product!

I just called in 2 seconds ago and spoke to Trevor on the phone and I just e-mailed him. LOL! I'm however not the origional purachaser and I'm 99% sure the bearing is bad you can see it moving when you press down on the car. Click clack, click clack. It only does it on one side and it's rather annoying. I can't send mine in since it's my daily driver.

So I picked up some new struts. And, it turns out the bearing isn't bad. These things just fit like ****. The shop that did the install for me put in one Mazdatrix spacer, but not the other hence a clickity clack. They put in one side, but they had to grind the ID out to fit it all the way onto the shank. Anyway here are the picks. None of it fits together... HALP!
The spacer only fits over the threads. With it on it only allows for about 3 threads on the nut. Is it supposed to be this shitty of fitment?

Well I had to gt the car together, so I stacked 2 washers on top of the plate and bolted it all together. It's not perfect, binds in some spots, but it drives... Cant wait to get the FC legal so I can take my time replacing crap.
