Unidentified Part

Hey all, I was doing rust repair on my 1982 gsl RX-7 and I found this part that was completely rusted out. I took it out and the car runs as good as ever so as I put the car back together I was wondering if I can leave this out because of the extensive rust damage. I have attached many images. After looking it up I have seen that it is a relay module but I am not sure what that means, if anyone could explain that for me that would be really appreciated.

Looks like the cruise control model that lives in the drivers side rear bin area.

Interesting... I looked up the number X4T30 and it came up with this item on ebay listed as the "relay module" not sure if that is true though.
