typical fuel pressure

Probably a stupid question, but what is the typical fuel pressure while running a holley or weber?

My car has been giving me a lot of crap lately trying to start it. Low and behold, my fuel pressure is topping out at 3psi. Good thing I have this carter pump to install yet.

i know that on piston engines you want 10 psi for 1000 rpm and 20 for 2000 and so on, is this the same thing for rotaries, i have not paid attention to my gauge when using but i would like to know this answer

Ok, 7 psi is what is required by most aftermarket carbs besides some like the dellorto and mikuni. The stock Nikki is VERY low at only 2.5 to 3, depending on year. Any holley, carter/edelbrock or weber carb will work nicely with 7 psi.

Oh ya, I should mention that most aftermarket carb fuel pumps run a max of 15psi, and pretty much anymore than that and your going to blow apart the seals in the carb.

You gents need to read up on your carbs. I see 1 correct answer and 2 partial, and post count doesn't count.

I just checked the Holley instructions, to get a more specific answer.
They state their carburetors work best between 5 and 7 psi. Holley recommends running 7 psi @ idle and minimum 4 psi at redline.
