Angry Turn Signal help!

Ok so today I got my new turn signal lense from victoria british. So I go to change the bulb because it's burnt out. And I start to turn it and the glass starts to seperate from the base! So right now the glass is still attached to the bottom metal part. But it has enough play that I can't get the bulb out! It's soaking in some WD40 right now. But any ideas on how to get this thing out? Because I'm pretty sure the glass is going to break.

if you have finepoint needlenose pliers;

-slip them, closed, into the base of the broken bulb

-expand the pliers gently until they touch the insides of the glass remenants

-keep expanding them to put tension on the outside metal threads. This may crack the glass but hey, it's already a busted bulb, right?

-once you have tension on the metal threads, slowly and carefully unscrew the metal bulb base. Keep just enough tension to keep the pliers against the threads without jamming the threads against their socket.

the thread should just unscrew using this method, preserving your socket

second thought, are we talking about the bulb in the left and right turn signals on the sides of the car? those are bayonette (push-in) type, not twist type.

If you have a fast blinker, then somewhere on that circuit another bulb is out. Whether it is on the front, side or rear remains to be seen.

Is it the correct bulb? Different wattage ones will make it flash fast like that.

Ok so I put a new bulb in and it still blinks fast on that side. This is reallly pissing me off. The side blinkers on both sides dont work. BUT it only blinks fast on one side. The side bulbs look ok so I don't know why they arn't working. What could be causing this I've checked the connections and stuff but nothing works. I'm starting to get pissed lol. HELP!

could be a crummy relay in the circuit. That often causes the rapid blinking. Unplug the relay and replace.
