Get an S5 turbo off of an 89-91 TII. Get the exhaust manifold as well and just a small intercooler and fabricate the rest of the stuff. That's what I'm doing

yep many threads have been made on this and FBII (username) had great success with a similar setup, but keep in mind, the faster, the more expensive.

also keep in mind, if you make it go real fast, you also need to beef up the brakes so you can stop it.

In addition you will need to upgrade the fuel delivery system in order to get the amount of fuel need by the increased airflow of the turbo.

& with a stronger engine you will need a stronger driveline, clutch, transmission, u joints, & rear end.

lastly you might want to put in a roll/crash cage so that you can survive the crash you will have as a result of the highrt speeds you will be traveling.

the factory brakes, in good condition, work very well. i've always been able to come back down to normal speed form 130mph runs with ease. but as i said.... good condition! warped rotors need not apply

hmmmm, i think the most important thing that will save you is "knowing how to drive". just because a cage is in place does not mean you are going to survive. it will help with crumple but you can still smash your head on the cage itself. you take a chance at high speeds regardless of how you get up to them. turbo isn't neccessary to die going fast.

there are supercharger kits for our cars but they are very expensive and won't net you as much power. they are a hate it or love it kinda thing, buuuut lets not turn this in to a s/c vs. t/c battle

if you want to see the differences in power/cost just search.
