Ok couple dumb questions (door handles, hatch windows)

Hey guys,
I have a question I feel is pretty stupid that I am not able to figure out... Well in all honesty I just want to see if there is a way to remove this without break it...

Anyways I am trying to remove the door handles, and I have already removed the 2 10mm bolts from the back of the handle so its loose, but I am wondering how to disconnect the linkage without breaking it in order to swap it over to my widebody car. It looks like there is a plastic clip, but I can't tell if its going to break the little clip and give me problems... haha like I said this seems like a dumb question considering all the stuff thats going to be ahead of me with this widebody project... Besides that its all coming along pretty well though.

Ok my second question is how do you remove the rear sideglass, I have the 10 mm bolt off the inside of the car, and I have the phillips screw out of under the triangle section. I realize that there is tar holding the window back on, but whats the best way to get it off (piano wire? what kind???), also when putting the windows on the other car what tar stuff should I use to seal it back up?

Thanks guys,
I really appreciate the help, sometimes I just have brain farts, and it prevents me from making progress haha..

The clips for the rods on the doors usually don't break. The 1/4 glass needs cut out with wire. Professional installation is recommended for the windows.

is there a special tool for removing the clips? and should I be removing it from the base of the linkage (further down the door, near the latch) or near the rear of the handle itself.

And thanks a ton Trochoid, you've been helping me a ton!

It is possible to remove the actuator rod without breaking the handle, but it is somewhat of a game of Russion roulette. This is definitely not one of Mazdas better design details. If you have a junker available for parts, cut the rods and them deal with it on the bench with better access. I always have squeezed them out with pliers.

As I recall, can't you remove both handles, them switch them left to right if the tabs are broken??????

Pop your hood and look at the hood prop. There is a plastic clip that holds the rod to the body. This plastic clip is a bigger version of the door clip.
