Turbo on a Weber

Has anyone put a turbo on a Weber 45 DCOE? If so, I'm just curious as to how you did it, what you had to change, etc. Any takers?

i'm pretty sure the float is good. i think they usually replace the gaskets with better sealing ones that won't leak under the pressure. talk to robert at rotary shack. he's the weber guru man!

I wouldn't get a weber right now. Actually, I wouldn't use a weber for a turbo. As I understand it, their floats like to colapse under boost and its hard to find solid floats for them. Webers are just too expensive for my liking though.

A buddy of mine already has the carb, so that cost isn't a concern. The float issue, that could be a problem. I'm just trying to get as much info as I can though before committing to this little project. It's just one step of many I'll need to take.

That's only the IDA's that have problems with the floats. DCOE's and DCO-SP''s work great.
