Lightbulb Turbo and Supercharged?

I just read in Car and Driver that Volkswagen is producing a 4 cyl engine
that will be turbo and supercharged for the beetle.

This would create a nice combo of SC picking of the line on low revs while
the turbo picks up the slack at high revs.

The obvious questions are. Can it be done on a rotary? Has anyone
on the forum heard of one being made? And, would it be practical?

Sounds good TurboSE. I was just replying at Rotary20B's thread in
which he's showing his 20B mod. That's the way to go, just need
the money...
