One of those on each rotor will work...heh,heh..

The stock TII Hitachi T-18 is roughly a T4 hotside with a T3 compressor. Its manifold is also much easier to bolt up since its designed for a rotary already. The most youll need to do is a little grinding.
The TII stock turbo is OK,itll make power up to around 10-11psi on a 13B,but its widely accepted that a TO4 compressor/T-18 hybrid is better suited for a 13B.I run one up to 14psi and get nice, low intake temps, and my spool time is still acceptable. The stock T-18 reacted a little quicker, but its was absolutely screaming at 14psi,heating the intake air well beyond 175*.
A lot depends on the engine too.....12A or 13B?......stock ports or opened up ports?.....FMIC and lots of piping,or a compact TMIC/air-to-water IC system?......

10-14psi on a stock SE engine is pushing it.
Youll be hard pressed to pass enough air and deliver enough fuel from the SE's engine control gear.
Id set my immediate sights on 6-8psi, until you can upgrade you running gear.Thats the pressure stock TII engines run,and they make 50-70 more HP than the SE engine, all with lower compression ratios. A stock S4-S5 TII turbo will work fine for you,and you can always upgrade it to a hybrid TO4 later on when you port the engine....

The 1986 turbo 2.2 was a Garrett with good flow capability.
Sould be just fine for a brisk street/strip car. Should net 200-250 flywheel hp at 12-15 psi
If you are looking to build a maximum output race car look at the GT series Garrett.
check out http://www.turbofast.com.au/ for lots of interesting info.

The TIIs have 4-550cc injectors, the SE has 2-680cc injectors, you can do the math. If you want full fuel and air support for a 2nd gen turbo, install a 2nd gen turbo intake system. It will take some modding. Then you need a new engine management system to support the extra injectors and turbo. Take a look at MegaSquirt for that, unless you have a large budget and want to go for one of the major brands of standalones.

Yea,if you keep the stock SE computor, the stock SE injectors are about as big as you can get for factory injectors. You could buy larger, aftermarket injectors, but youd end up being rich on the idle and cruise. If you keep the stock SE injectors and add some extra injectors to compensate for the boost, youll have to change your ECU or run an additional injector controller to switch the injectors on when needed.
