I have a RB Holly Manifold that came with the yellow 79' I just got. The 79' has a 12a, and I want to SC that car. I also have another 83' that I am want to turbo. I want to do a blow though turbo setup with a FiTech. There is someone on YouTube that has one working with a Camden Supercharger, and if it works there it'll work with a turbo with the right manifold cuts. My only question is there a aftermarket easy to find turbo manifold that will clear the FAT bit of metal that is Racing Beat manifold?
NO.... it all has to be made custom ....first step u hav to figure out what turbo you want to use (2) find a fabricator willing to do the job... if it was easy everyone would do it. and dont forget the custom downpipe he's gonna hav to make also................. good luck

That is crazy to me. For how long these manifolds have been around, and the strong call of boost the fact they are not around is kind of disappointing. I mean RB manifold, a standard turbo flange, and a TBI every Rx-7 could be boosted! I guess its something to look into. Maybe something CXRacing could help with? Still though kind of surprised its not a thing.
Pretty sure there should be a cast iron log manifold available, of course no idea if it will clear your intake.
try "racecast" in australia or maybe japan for a used oem 12a turbo manifold.
SDR in australia also do steel steam pipe manifolds to suit pretty much any configuration.
if you do decide to make one, it doesnt get much easier than a two rotor. Especially if you use an internal wastegate turbo.

cx-racing manifold are junk.......... it shouid't be surprising . how many people want to boost a 12a .... dont get me wrong . when its done properly loads of fun
MY GOD MY BAD! I missed saying I have a 4 port 13b in my 83'. I just got a 79' with a bunch of random parts because the guy as been out of the game, does not want to be in the game, and it has been take up space. You know the story...
Well I just had a game changer today! A old friend is giving up his 85' GSL-SE he got from a lady. He (friend) help build this car about 12 years ago for her husband, so when he passed away 3 years ago she though of him. Sold it to him for a extremely good price. I had been bugging him about it sense I saw it out back of his shop. I have not seen him in over a year though when I bumped into him at the store today, and ask one more time about it. With the times being what they are... he entertained the idea, and even gave a price. Its a street ported 13b Pineapple engine with old Haltech in hard lived 85' GSL-SE (or its gotten a bit beat sitting out back of the shop for 3 years). He said the ol boy did not drive it much from what his wife said because it was a lot of car for him. He never even went to get the real tune done, so its had the break in tune this whole time. There should SHOULD be under 5000 miles on it. You know the story even when you have it there is always something in the way of finishing it. He said he wanted to go to someone that had the time to finish it, and that's what I am getting such a deal... I had a ride in it once before 2.5 years ago, and she had all the pep with mild boosting. A full tune up, and a street tune... My luck right now I feel like its a dream. lol Because the 85' is not much to look at I want to swap it all over the 79' because for the love of god THAT is the dream 79'.
Sorry complete left turn on the OG subject!
Now the only question is... will the 85' EFI fuel tank swap to the 79'?*** Answer: The spare wheel is different, and the 85' tank will not swap over to the 79'. Hmmm what should I do here then?

the 85 tank will not fit the 79 due to the full size spare of the 79.
So... idea one is cut and swap the spare section out of the 79' and 85' to swap them so the 85' tank will fit. That is a lot of work, but I want the 79 to look stock to the normal eye. The 85' is just a doner at this point and will be the base of a lemon car. I dont know what engine the other half of the team will dig up though... but I feel like I'll feel dirty in it. -_- Second idea is surge tank and running two fuel pumps. Third idea is just fuel cell in the back and call it good.

Is it? I thought the GSL-SE had a pump in the tank, and a nice slosh cup? With the GSL-SE being for parts to put in the 79', and the GSL-SE fuel tank not fitting the 79 idea was high volume fuel pump to the surge tank, and then the high pressure pump from the surge tank to engine. I just going to use the stock GSL-SE tank in the 83'.
post pics of these cars that you're planning on molesting
Trust me I am doing a lot of unmolesting to these. Dont have photos if the GSL-Se yet. Get to pick that up later this month. Lol here is some shots from the 79' engine bay just to give you a feel. The MOP was not hooked up too. That was comforting to see! There are some short cuts I will never understand. -_-

GSL-SE is an external pump, and it might have a better pickup, but its still an external pump, it should bolt in to a 79 actually

Well then one pump. Although everything I have found said because of the full size spare in the Sa the Fb tanks wont swap. Also from what I can read the EFI tank is most definitely needed for boosting of any kind with the sloshing.
