Aftermarket turbo manifold

Hey guys, I was messing about on rx7store.net and I found their tubular S5 turbo manifold. There is no manufacturer info. so i'm assuming that they make it in house.

http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/st...-91%20rx-7.htm

my question is:

has anybody purchased and used this particular manifold?

I'm not sure of the potential for performance that the stock manifold has, or if anyone knows of any other aftermarket turbo manifolds and had good results.

thanks in advance

You realize you can't use the stock turbo w/ that, right? It's meant for full turbo upgrades.

yeah I realize that. and that's what I'm after. I just want to know if the manifold is well made, or prone to explosions.

It looks like a ss autochrome manifold that has been marked up 200%.

SS Autochrome

I use one on my 7. Heard the old version was prone to cracking so I had a friend chop it up and reweld it. So far I have no real complaints. Just remember you get what you pay for.

If I could change anything it would be the diameter of the tube. My manifold measures out at about 2.75". I would like to go a little smaller.

Weld for weld, flange for flange if you look at the pics. Even has the same nipple under the turbo flange.

Long story short, when I was in the Mopar muscle scene I saw some manifolds that were made of such low grade tube steel that heated up to the point of flexing and melting.

...perhaps explosion was to strong of a word.

Your best bet for a quality manifold is to watch the 2nd gen 4 sale adds and wait for a low mileage custom manifold to pop up.
