Some more information might help. What engine? Where did you take the vacuum source from?

Some of the SA's had a one way check valve close to the brake booster. This will work fine for you. This valve has held upwards of 12-15 pounds boost for me.

I tried to find a closer pic, but if you look in the lower right hand corner of the photo, you will see a little silver check valve in the rubber line coming off the hard line to the booster. This is where you will need it.

Every car made should already have a check valve to keep vacuum in the booster after the engine is shut off or stalls.
This allows assisted braking several times after the engine shuts off.It also prevents intake backfires from hurting the booster, and on forced induction engines, keeps intake pressure from entering. It also keeps the vacuum in the booster at a preset level, since even N/A engine's manifold pressure fluctuates a great deal.It should be no different after going turbo,I had no issues and changed nothing on my car after doing my TII swaps.

The brake booster should never see positive manifold pressure because there should already be a one-way valve in the external hose leading from the engine to the booster.

That valve is included in all cars (N/A or turbo), for the previously mentioned reasons. It will also prevent boost from entering the vacuum booster since its a one-way valve.I still, and always have, run the factory valve in my car.
