If its just a basic T3 garrett, throw it in the garbage or sell it to some rich talon owner. The T3 is too small to make power on a rotary, it doesn't flow enough cfm. The compressor wheel is too small and the exhaust is just way too small. Even the stock S4 turbo is a cross between a T3 and T4 and it is only efficient up to about 12psi on a rotary, or mabey 260hp.

If its off a TII then its should say HT18 somewhere on the turbo.

Thats a great unit for a 12A,its OK on a 13B, up to about 12psi.
Just about any turbo off of any other passenger car is junk on a rotary. We move way more air than just about any 4 banger, and most 6 cylinders.

Hmmm, I have no clue what it's off of, probably a Subaru X/T, since that's what the guy has. It's clean as hell and the fins don't have any damage.
All the marks I can find are Garrett, M10, and A/R .48.
I haven't the first clue about turbos, I'm usually an N/A guy

too small, smaller than the 1st talon turbos it's either a fordthunderbird, turbo daytona, lebaron gtc turbo

they made a .48/.60 and .63/.60(like a super 60) for different years. i built a homemade kit using a garrett m10 .48/.60 from junkyard($50) on my 1.6L DOHC vtec swapped crx and it was too small i would hit 10-12psi by 2,000 rpm. I upgraded to a .63 hotside and still the same peak boost, power band with about 500rpm up top. Only made 218whp it felt like a eaton blower.

subarus used vf series or ihi and since they are boxer platform they would use an 3 bolt triangular uppipe or vband connection to turbo from exhaust so no t2/3/4 flanges.

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/12a-turbo-gt42-639553/ here you can see my old set up with a T3/T4. hope it helps. In my opinion T3 is way to small for a rotary.

So a T2 is CONSIDERABLY too small?
As in I'd get zero gain? I'm on the train of thought that it isn't so powerful that it'll kill my motor if I use it (my motor is sort of old, 280K post rebuild)

To give you some perspective, the stock TII turbo is roughly a T3 coldside and a T4 hotside. The S5 is a full 1.00A/R on the hotside.......that little Subaru turbo would choke your exhaust so badly, youd probably not be able to rev past 4000rpms!

Oh, big bummer! So I got this for nothing.
Any clue if it would help my 323 out?

if you slapped a turbo on a 280K miles motor and expect it to last very long, youre ignorant. itd be one of those deals, drive the **** out of it till it blows. probably wouldnt last long at all.

Maybe......trying to make a GTX on the cheap!?
Im sure it would be fine for your average 1.3-1.8L 4 cylinder.Youd likely have to do some work to the 323 engine, but possibly not too much, since iron block Mazda 4 bangers are pretty tough little beasts.

It would be an insane amount of custom fabbing to make a GTx
4WD / AWD + in cabin adjustable suspension are the big things about it, not the turbo. . . . although the turbo does help, lol.
So, maybe I'll stick it in the 323 then. . . .
