Turbo

What kind of turbo would be the simplest to put in a 12A without messing around jimmy rigging everything too much.

The 12AT does not get you 60bhp but rather about 35. the original data often quoted is from Japan quoting JIS as 160. By the same measuring the stock 12A is rated at 130JIS. Check the original 1983 cosmo data.

The12AT turbo is far too small for decent power and runs out of puff above 6000rpm. The only advantage is minimal turbo lag. Not too bad for a touring Cosmo from which most of those for sale come, but little potential for a sports car. Unless you want a replica they are a waste of money.

Using a 13BT turbo would be far better
