tuning a weber...

alright i have a 84 gslse and i have a one peice manifold with a weber 45dcoe on it. and now that its getting hotter it doesnt want to idle (sometimes). like for example when im just cruising down the road and i have to stop real fast for any reason, it wants to die.. or when i first start up it shakes reall bad and wants to die, i have to keep my foot on the gas or keep revving it until it idles. there are 2 screws on top that is for the air/fuel mixture. now how do i tune it??

is it safe it assume that you have tried the simpler things first, like:
tune up?
cleaning the carbie and throttle linkage?

could be fuel boiling, but i don't know how hot Nashville is right now, or if your under-hood temps are abnormal.

how long have you had this carburetor? has it been running fine all along and now all of a sudden started doing the things you described? does it do anything weird while you're driving or does it just act up when you're stopped or stopping?

I have a 45DCOE settup on a 12A Street Port. I had a similar problem and found out the the soft mounts between the carb and the intake were cracked causing a air leak, once I fixed that it started idling fine, but you might still have to retune the carb a bit....

ive had the carb for about 3 months maybe, and its only with idle, maybe its because there is too much vaccume being drawn from the brake booster.
