to tune? or not to tune?

hey, my rx7 hasn't been tuned for over a year and i've never had it tuned since i've owned it. (4months)

the car surges when its under half a tank of full and i think its running rich chewing all my gas up.

how will a tune benifit my car and how much should i expect to pay for a tune up. (13B with microtech mt4 chip)

cheers

Spark plugs need to be replaced about every 6,000 miles. Less often if you have an MSD, since the MSD will fire pretty much anything, even 20,000 mile old plugs with el-cheapo carbon core plug wires missing half the insulation. (Like my last car had )

Holy ****! I am at just over 20k on my plugs and they *just* went bad. They were ok a week ago, then again I attack them with a wire brush often so they stay really clean

I can show you 6,000 mile old plugs that are just plain worn out. Cleaning doesn't help any when the gap is enormous.
