You could send the carb to Sterling for truly most excellent rebuild (www.sterlingmetalworks.com), or you could rebuild it yourself. I see you mentioned that you put a kit in one before but it didn't help much, was that on this car?

Rebuilding these carbs isn't impossible, just make sure you clean out the jets when you do it, because that's what it sounds like to me. Good luck...

when have you replaced the fuel filter? Have you adjusted the floats correctly? Does it stay running if you give it gas after the chokes goes back in?

That's right, keep telling guys to go into their 30 year old carb and adjust their floats because those awful Nikki gremlins like to get in there with their little needle-nose pliers and **** with things, right?

...I appreciate the help in business, but honestly, I can't do much with a carb that has it's float tabs broken off. Unfortunately the 25% of people who actually will fubar their floats is still way too high a percentage to be dolling out that advice.
And like I say, it ain't like the damned things just go out of adjustment all on their own!

Not to be an *** Sterling, but if you read his post he said he tried rebuilding the carb so I though I would include a possibility if he replaced the floats when he rebuilt it

ok guys i no you do god bussness stearling i ahve heard of you before. but i was wondering if you had any carbs you would want to sell. and yes i have changed the filter at teh tank by the carb. i think wat my prb. is the tank had dirt in it adn sucked some up. we cleaned the tank. but i ran some seafoam threw it. seemed to help. Also yes it will stay running when you give it gas. it just dies you can't really even pull in to a parkin spot and keep it goin. when you shove teh clutch in it already starts to die!! really pissed about this car. i did a complete off body resto on it n now it don't run for ****. so PLEASE stearling if you ahve a carb. let me know
