Transmission Fluid?

Ok, I'm going to swap out the tranny and rear diff fluid in my 85 GSL-SE. What type to use and where do I get the LSD additive? My 3rd Gen buddy swears by GM syncromesh for the tranny but did have a rear end go out after putting it in the rear - coincidence or real?

What is everyone else using?

I got a grind at high rpm's going into 3rd, and I just put in redline. Stuff supposed to work miracles, we'll see.

Knoxville? I just moved to California from Oak Ridge!

Mine will sometimes make a little noise going into 3rd but still feels very crisp, I think I'm just not used to it and coming in a little at an angle.

I wish I were back home and could take my new seven up to the dragon!

redline is what everyone swears by. i plan on using it too. you can email them with the condition of your tranny and what you plan on using your car for (street, autox, etc) and they'll recommend something.

The "Dragon" is Deal's Gap just outside of Maryville/Alcoa. Big place for motorcycles and other performance nuts to go run the curvy hills of East TN, great scenery. Never done it myself as I just bought my first car ever! www.killboy.com

Big $$ in CA equals Good $$ in TN! Military move no choice.

Military! First of all THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!
Now, please tell me more of where the dragon is, I'd love to try it. Better use PM so not to use up forum space just for us personal stuff.
