Tranny Swap has Begun. (56k?)
Came home from school, got the old tranny out, than I ran out of day light.
Fairly easy, except one of the bolts that hold the tranny to the engine ( the one on top of the engine that holds the loop for pulling the engine.) broke. But after I removes the tranny I was able to get the threaded section that was still in the engine out with a pair of vice grips.
The drive shaft bolts were a bit of a pain, I had to use my thigh power to brake em loose ( sit your **** on the ground, hold onto the frame rails with your hands and push the wrench with your foot)
other than that, smooth sailing.
I hope to god than my spare tranny is good.

The engine is pretty cruddy near the oil pan, cause I couldn't clean that area with the manifold on. It actually really clean, and Ill post a pic to prove it.
And I coated the chassis/floor with cans of rubberized asphalt.
After I cleaned and painted everything, but before modding.
After Weber / emissions removed.
Still think it's dirty?

Yes, I need fluid, thanks for the recommendation.
Here's some picks of the new tranny and the drive shaft installed.
Just need to bolt in the slave and hook up the battery, and thats one more thing off the check list.
My list is getting smaller, she's almost road worthy!
