Tranny Fluid.

How do I change my 7's tranny fluid? there's no dipstick/ fill spout. I see a large bolt on the housing, so Im assuming thats the drain hole. Where do I put in the new fluid? And what fluid should I use?

There's a fill hole on the side of the tranny (drivers side). You need a pump attachment for the bottles. Use a good 80w-90 or equivilent. Redline, Royal purple, Amsoil, are more expensive but help with older trannys.

I used a funnel with a bendable spout end, it was maybe 2 feet long.

Recommend that you do some basic reading.

Maintenance like this is basic and is covered in your owners manual. If you do not have one then buy a haynes manual or you can download the FSM per member trochoids link.

I used RedLine MT-90 for fluid

They've already covered where the fill hole is, I found that the best way to fill was to take a funnel and a long tube, put the funnel right around where your brake master is and run the tube down to the tranny fill hole. Let gravity do the work. Doesn't hurt to have a friend around either.

I don't have an owners manual, and I tried to order a Hayne's, but Canadian Tire and Chapters said they can't order them. So is it full, when it starts to pour out the fill hole?

Amsoil has a nice hand pump that is used for their oil. I used it over the weekend when I did mine.

I went with:

wouldent it be easier to have the funnel and tube go through the engine bay then to the fill hole
