Sorry to hear the news about your trans man that sucks! But... I have a GSL-SE transmission for sale, its for the 13b so I'm not sure if it will bolt right up or what. Let me know if you are interested.

Is the SE transmission better (stronger) than a reg 12a trans, or just geared differently?

I am glad that you got a tranny. The change out job is not too difficult. I had to do the same thing when I bought my SE. It was leaking oil and the previous owner assumed it was engine oil. Anyway, he took it for a 16 hour trip. On the way back, it started making noises, but he kept on going. I tore down the old transmission after I got a replacement tranny. The gears got some blueing from the heat produce having no oil in the transmission and all of the teeth were sheared off of the third gear.

I picked up the used tranmission for $100.

Good luck.

Kent
