The breather cap just pulls off.

I could use a new cap myself. I was going to replace it when I did all my suspension work, but couldn't find a new one. Mine is still on there, but has a section of the cap broken off.

the caps commonly crack. its probably due to age. i've seen them so packed with dirt that the caps were almost stuck on the breather...

Alright, so I can just reach up on top and pull this cap off, (hope its not broken) clean it up and be good to go?

thats right. might be tough to inspect the breather tube but as long as the cap isnt full of crud you'll prob have nothing to worry about.
