Too much oil and rust?

Hey guys, I went to start my car up and it just won't take fuel in. So I pulled the plugs and they were covered in oil. I checked the dipstick and the oil was at the F, is that overfilled. But is it enough to be a problem? Like blow out the oil ring seal? I hope that's not the case, I was able to clean the carb out a bit, there was some rust in some of the ports. Looks like a new tank needs to come in.

Anyways, when I got it to start on starting fluid, there was a bunch of blue whitish smoke that lingered forever, so I don't think its coolant. Am I screwed?

No it would have to be like pouring out the filler cap. F is fine.

Are you sure it was oil and not just wet carbon from fuel vapors?

It there was a big oil problem it would smoke, drip, burn or contaminate the other fluids. Oil pressure ok?

How long is forver? It should stop smoking after it's warmed up. Longer than a couple minutes?

That was quick. No it won't run for 5 seconds now.

Let it sit overnight. Could be flooded. Then don't pump it when you try tomorrow. How long did it smoke again? like after warm up? (bad sign).

I cleared out the combustion chambers, it just isn't getting fuel. I can't get the car warmed up, because it occasionally runs for 5 seconds mainly on starter fluid.

Search on how to de flood your engine if thats what it is.

But, if you are saying that it is not getting fuel, could be a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump. Our cars are prone to fuel pump and fuel filter problems

i just went thru this today, it seemed like i wasn't getting enough fuel.
i could start on gas dumped in or on starter fluid, but it wouldn't from the fuel being pumped in.

my problem wasn't the filter or pump but bad gas. just a thought, idk how water got in my gas but id did, and alot of it.

try the easy stuff first or you'll be kicking yourself later. i seem to remember another forum member
that went so far as to replace a fuel pump when he just had a bad fuel pump relay.

What color was the oil? If there was a greenish tinge you could have a bad coolant seal. Have you tested compression, and spark?

Oh man, it does have a bit of a green tinge to it. The gas is at half way on both sights. I put in some HEET to see if the water is the problem, the plugs didn't really smell so I'm hoping that's why.

I haven't changed the oil after I replaced the intake manifold gasket which was torn up. I plugged it so maybe I should change the oil next week and see if that cures that green problem. Spark is great, 2 new coils and cap and rotor plugs wires. I haven't checked compression yet.
