too much feul

Alright, I have a problem. when i turn the switch to the on position feul immediately starts coming out in to the secondaries and the primarys, it fills up the secondaries and floods out. i have replaced the air vent solenoid with one that i got off of another used carb. the new one was different though, the old one had three screws holding it on, this one has a sleeve that is driven into the carb and then the solenoid screws into it. every once in a while it will start and run very rough and white thick smoke will pour out along with what looks like oil into a big puddle. also when i replaced the carb i had some kind of solenoid or something that unscrewed from the passenger side of the old carb but wont screw into the new carb. WTF!! all input on this matter will help.

It sounds like you need a carb rebuild. When you replaced your carb, did you replace it with another used carb? I had a problem with my stock carb not closing at all, and pressure build up forcing gas into my carb after the car was shut off. I bought a brand new carb from Racing Beat, and haven't had any problems since.

If you did buy a used carb to replace your stock carb, you may want to rebuild the carb.

We're probably going to need some photos to figure this out. However, if you know for a fact that the vent solenoid is not working, then that is definitely the place to focus your efforts...
