Too many glass sunroofs in Los Altos!

I was cleaning out one of my garages and found 3 extra glass sunroofs (I think they're all OEM). I guess I just kept collecting them wherever I found them. Anyway, I'll sell them for $100 each (OBO) if you come down to downtown Los Altos (I'm right around San Antonio and Foothill). They're too heavy and awkward to ship. Send me a PM for my address and cell. I'm usually around here, and anyway I can arrange my schedule, such as it is. I can actually run it by anyplace between Mtn. View and San Carlos. You can probably beat me down on price if you have a sad story, like student fees, recent divorce or you gotta get a new case of Idemitsu pre-mix. Full price to BMW (or similar) drivers.

I think they're all in good shape except the weather bits need a little black rustoleum.

Makes a nice xmas gift for the FB owner that needs one.

I also have a good "Le Bra" for, say, $50, which I'd be willing to ship if need be.

There was a guy in the for sale forum looking for a 79 one about a month ago. I posted in his thread.

They are not too bad to shipp you just have to keep the box size within 36''x28''x7'' Shipping would be around $28 dollars anywhere in the U.S. and Canada and the box will be around $20-$30 packed at the UPS store just so you know.

And Zyrano I think rm125 is looking for a '79 sun roof

OEM Sunroof in Glass ??????

I have been buying and selling these things for 20 years, and I never heard of a glass sunroof made or sold by Mazda. If anyone knows different, let us know.

In 1983, Mazda figured out that most of their sales were to women, so they plushed up the seats, and they sit a couple of inches higher. I am 6'3" tall, and I can't sit in them with the stock sunroof, which is about 1 1/2 inches thick. I put the glass sunroof in all my 1st gens so I don't have to modify the seats.

Heh, I had a quote at the ups store and they wanted 125 bux to pack it, I kid you not, so i'd rather not ship it. but if anyone local is interested, let me know...

^^^ I understand I guess different places try to charge more, I ship these roofs all the time and the last 7 I have sold I have had them packaged at the UPS Store with those measurements I listed and then I go to the post office and send it prioritymail where they charge $23-$28. its all in the measurements because as soon as you go over 108 inches in Circumference+Diameter the price skyrockets.

Just trying to help!!!!!
But Whats your price I might be in Palo Alto next week so I might be able to make you an offer.

I just sold two glass sunroofs and with packaging materials that I got froma local glass shop for $10 and shipped one two Las Vegas, $28.50 and one to New York, $32.50 both by the UPS store. Someone there is giving you a line if they want $125
