timming for fuel economy

What is the best procedure to set timming to get best fuel economy for a stock 84 gl?

I have noticed several post that have suggested 20 L and 14 T. And I take it I should disconect vac but what rpm should I use when I set it?

I just set it to stock. 20L and 10T.
