TII Tranny

Will a tII tranny bolt up to an 80 FB? If not what tranny will work with the FB thats a five speed and can hold more power?

if you have an '80 then it's an SA

The transmission will physically bolt up to the engine. They make a clutch disk that adapts an N/A sized clutch to the T2 input splines, but I do not know/believe that the T2 starter would mate with the N/A flywheel.

This leaves a few options... either hunt down a '74-78 bellhousing and starter and bolt the T2 transmission to that, using the N/A flywheel and adapter clutch disk, or

get a counterweight for a '79-82 automatic 12A, a T2 lightweight flywheel, and a T2 clutch.

Im trying to plan how im going to do everything for the car im rebuilding. I appreciate your help and im sure youll notice quite a few questions coming from my direction in the near future
