thumbs up or down on chrome?

I had a few too any beers last night and started thinking of adding a little old school chrome accent to the '79 ...... maybe the door handles .... rear glass supports ?... bumpers inside the rubber? .... windshield trim ( just strip the paint off ) ...... those small side glass air vents maybe ? .... a few engine parts ?

Your car looks amazing as is, no need for any chrome.

^ They are not shiny stock. They come from the factory painted black.

Normally I'd say leave the stock colors, and your car looks great the way you have it, but a little bit of shiny chrome here and there on that nice black finish would be a nice accent, just don't overdo it. You might want to try thinking about it under the influence of some other kinds of drugs to be sure you are on the right track.

The windshield trim is not chrome.it is painted STAINLESS STEEL from the factory which is quite different than chrome.

Keep the chrome for the muscle cars, and american trucks.

The SA is beautiful in stock form.Put down the bottle, and leave the car alone.

No chrome should ever touch a 7 IMO. Chrome is for american cars and trucks, not real sports cars.

Polished on the other hand . IMO chrome looks cheap, polished stuff is much nicer.

But like I said your car really doesn't need anything, I almost think that accents would take away from it.

The chrome on the RX-7 badges are all we got stock.

A small bit of chrome you might add as a conversation piece is the nitro fish emblem. It's the same size as the fish everybody has, but more uh... aggressive.

No chrome.

However, on your (very nice) black car you could consider some sort of contrasting embellishment. White, yellow, red paint maybe on the door handles, pillars, or similar.

But I don't think chrome would look good.

Semi-gloss black is original and still the best.

Leave it the way it is.

Chrome is only good with light colors. Light blue, Light grey, and Light red are good with chrome. Dark colors however need dark trim.
