Throttle Sub-Return Spring Issue
I discovered my throttle sub-return spring was located in the wrong spot and am trying to put it back in the correct location. However, I have an issue.
First of all, I am missing the pivot-nut, which I just learned and is not good. Beyond that, however, I honestly cannot figure out based on the carb rebuild diagram where the thing even goes.
I have attached a labeled picture of my carb where the attachment point for the throttle sub return spring should go. I have also attached a picture of the spring, cotter pin, washer, and nut as they are.
Can someone please shed some light on this situation and is there anything I can use in place of the pivot-nut?

4 is the hot start assist cable (from the bracket looking thing on the drivers side of the engine bay).
3 is the throttle cable
2 is also for hot start assist, it is one end of a very small spring, the other end is part of the big bracket that the choke cable sits in. (the spring is part 104 in the mazda carb manual)
I think 1 is the connector for the sub return, but it's hard to tell from the picture and I rebuilt my carb more than a year ago. Here's the cleanest picture I can find of it (I took lots of pics as I took it apart, a lot less after it was all put back together and you could see things other than dirt...)
