Throttle linkage problem

So I rebuilt the Nikki carb on my 12a and I got everything put back together. The car runs and the primaries work great but the secondaries are not kicking in at all. I think I've got a linkage problem or perhaps I didn't put something on the carb properly on reassembly. I got a couple of photos of what it looks like. Can any of you 12a gurus see anything I've got wrong? Thanks in advance for your assistance!!!

The teeter totter never moves when using the gas pedal. There's a fair bit of slack in the cable here but I'm not sure if it's the throttle cable or the hot start cable.

Vacuum secondaries will open under load. At rest if you hold about 5000 revs and crack the the throttle they'll open.

Thanks for the response Cookboy. The secondaries didn't seem to kick in when I test drove it either I'm afraid. Any other ideas?

Have any pictures of the other side of the carb? The linkage from the vacuum diaphragm is on the OTHER side, and it a simple lever/rod that pulls the secondaries open.

Passenger side Throttle linkage problem-image-1982049642.jpg if the lever is connected you can try to gently remove the diaphragm and make sure that the passage is clear .If it is and still does not fix your problem remove the cover and inspect the diaphragm for any taring .

Okay I see it . It looks like it's connected . Try cleaning out the passage for it.

Bit blurry but this is what the diaphragm looks like. There appears to be a bit of a fuel leak. This may be the source of the fuel on my spacer plate I've been seeing since rebuilding the carb.

This is the diaphragm after pulling the lever. Looks ok but could it be leaking the fuel I'm seeing?

This is the diaphragm without pulling the lever. How does it look?
