Check out this link I found today while trying to figure out a solution:

http://www.jimrothe.com/mazda/mygsls...yfromright.jpg

In the pic, you can see the throttle cable on the left as it bends around and down. Looks like he made a custom cam or something though - same carb as you 4160.

BTW - his manifold is a jay-tech, notice he did NOT have to grind to get the bolts to work either... hmm, damn RB!

Another idea (sorry, all these replies are mine.. i'm sure somebody will chime in):

Also, could anybody with the RB holley kit post a pic of their throttle cable bracket. RB uses the 4160, and I'm curious how they set it up...

Cut a nail that can slid through the hole on the throttle. Weld throttle cable to cut nail.

Full throttle.

If you weld the throttle cable, how do you ever remove the carb again w/out cutting the cable?

I think welding a guide from the stock carb would work...

Weld the throttle cable to the nail shaft. Do not weld it to the throttle linkage, then you will get binding. I did almost the same thing with my old carb. Used a brake cable from a bike shop and welded it to a custom throttle head.
