I don't recall any RX-7's from the factory stock with side drafts.

I mean the Idle size, 65F8, 70F9, whatever

I think when he said stock, he meant the carb stock from Weber, not from Mazda.

I would guess that there has to be a better jetting option for the rotary over what comes with the carb out of the box

actually there is, i go through the entire carb before shipping them out

they come with 55 F9 wich is a bit small, you will have some bogging issues with those in the idle to main transition.

try 65-F8 or 65 F9, those work good for the rotarys(stock port that is)

I have both and both have exhaust poppings and rough idle... I hear those jets talked about a lot haha. I can make a video if you like of it.

have you checked for an intake leak?

how are you adjusting your idle mixture screws? turn them clockwise until the car starts to die, then back them out 1/2 a turn, you should be be good to go

All new gaskets everywhere. Carb gaskets are still the same ones that came with it. I don't want to keep throwing money at it unless I finally know what the problem is. I can turn the front rotor's down and it will die (of course, I back it out before it does ) but when I do the same to the rear there is no effect, if it is all the way to the top or all the way down. This is what I am thinking the culprit is.
