Ah, the site was going so slow.

Anyways, the bike is a Kawasaki Ninja 500R. 60 HP with a weight of 388 lbs. The rider is probably 165 lbs. with gear on. Our weight:power ratios are within 0.2 of each other and thats with me estimating my cars weight on the higher end of the scale.

I have Nitto drag radials now and lots of torque (V8). He got the bike a month ago and I seriously doubt he'll launch it aggressively.

Any ideas on the outcome?

Is he an experienced driver?

I'm afraid that he may be feeling some bravado, but doesn't have enough experience to handle the bike.

Have you thought this through?

I think it'll be close but I'll edge him out. If I can get the launch, once I get into 3rd it should be over.

At least thats what I think.... and hope will happen.

Hmmmm, 12.73 seconds in the 1/4. I know my car isn't that fast, I think I'm gonna lose now. Although, he isn't a pro-rider. I "could" run low 13's.

Either way, it'll be a good one.

0-60 in less than 4 seconds? I cant imagine that. That is litterly twice as fast as my car does it...

but T.J., think of the weight differences

Your car = 2400-2800lbs depending on package and weight redux... and you have 110-135 HP

the bike is 400lbs and a rider is 160, that's 560lbs max... and it has as much horsepower as my '81 Honda prelude.... that's pretty sad on my car's account and pretty damn fast on the bike's account.

Those bikes are meant for speed....

Our cars are meant for a balanced ride, speed, and power...

Basically bikes are in their own class.... ever try racing a Harley in your car?... haha... try it, it's fuuuun...

Bikes race bikes, cars race cars... that's how I look at it.
