Are there underdash lights?

So i have been going through the RX7 over the last four years just getting it up to par and reliable.

Today i was replacing bulbs and replaced the one above the rear view mirror and viola i have light when i open my doors now! Sweet right? Are there any other lights under the dash or anything? I didnt see any when i looked underneath, but...

None that I have ever come across. It would be nice if there were!

I plan on installing some this weekend, and also putting one in the rear right under the latch, I will post some pics if I actually get around to it

I have an 85 it has a little shine through light at the ignition key and the drivers door key so if you want to see in the very dark you can it stays on for about a minute after last use. I dont pay much attention to it I am not origonal owner . Was this a standard feature. It was not on the 79's

also if your going to install lights use LED's thery are great light and last forever. you may need a LMxxx Voltage regulator curcuit to bring the 12VDC down to %VDC and then place a resistor in series to limit curent flow. would be am easy weekend project if you have the time.

regards

No under the dash light (recently had my interior out) Two in the storage bins, one in the glove box, one that illuminates the ignition, and one that illuminates the fan switch and one that illuminates the heater switch...and one for the ashtray...I think thats all other than the obvious one you replaces (overhead light.)

There should be a light in the rear hatch area, not that it really helps that much. It works only with the hatch open, and the switch turned on.
I really like the glove box light, only works when the key is on. The ignition light is a godsend late at night......

Wow I should have searched first... I took out my center counsel to find my missing light for the vent and air temp controls and found the wires. I'm guessing the person that stole my radio took the light assembly too but at least the male and female plugs are still there. Then I decided to check all my other lights which all work. Then I took apart my glove box because that wasn't lighting up and I was so frustrated why there would be 0.030 volts when the headlight switched was turned (I kept using the headlight switch because thats how my other center counsel lights turned on). Then I saw this thread and realized the key had to be in and in the on position and lo and behold my glove box light turned on. Now to put everything back together... and also figure out why my light in the hatch doesnt work even though I am getting 12.43 volts. Maybe a bad light bulb?

/end vent lol
